Q2 2024 Performance of Top Merge Games on Unified Platform in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, the merge game category has seen a variety of performances across the top titles. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into how these games have fared in terms of downloads and user engagement.

Travel Town - Merge Adventure by Magmatic Games LTD showed a strong start in April with downloads peaking at 15K and weekly active users reaching 28K. However, a downward trend in downloads was observed by June, ending the quarter at around 4K. Despite this, revenue maintained a slight increase with weekly earnings peaking at approximately $19K.

Idle Racer — Tap, Merge & Race from CASUAL AZUR GAMES, while not generating revenue, maintained a robust user base with weekly active users starting at 91K and growing to nearly 100K by the end of June. Downloads initially stood at 11K but saw a slight decline over the quarter, stabilizing around 5K.

SayGames Ltd's Evolution Merge - Eat and Grow also experienced no revenue but had a consistent download range between 3K to 4K across the quarter. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, with a high of 17K in May.

TheSunStudio's Zombie Evolution Battle, released in May, saw an impressive surge in downloads, reaching nearly 14K in its first full week. However, by the end of June, downloads had decreased to under 500. Active users peaked at nearly 14K but dropped to 6.5K by the quarter's close.

Finally, Spinner Merge from Sunday.gg, despite not generating revenue, saw an interesting spike in downloads in early May, touching 6.6K before settling to around 1.6K by June. Weekly active users remained fairly steady, hovering around the 70K to 78K mark throughout the quarter.
